Chinas one child policy in the long term can be seen as a bad idea. India will be overtaking China in a couple years time. India is emerging into a demographic dividend with a high youthful population. India will be able to handle the Epidemiological transition much better than China because India's population is not suddenly changing from a young to old population. And even the people that do have these old age diseases is not as big as China and since India has a youthful population there are more people earning money than there are that are in the ageing population unlike China.
